Look who's TWO!!

....ISAAC ANTHONY!!

Yep! I have a 2 year old! (as of May 16th) Ahhh!! Cannot believe it!

Happy 2nd Birthday to the most lovable, silly, goofy kid I know:) He is my sweetheart, and I am just shocked at how huge he is now! He looks more and more like a big kid, especially since he has a baby brother.

Isaac may not talk and say what he feels or anything yet, but the kid expresses love to us all of the time with hugs and smooches constantly! He is so extremely caring to Kahler and even plays nice with him....it's pretty great to watch! He has come a long way with his progress in developing communication skills and I'm nothing but proud to have him as my big boy!

Here are his 2 year pics taken by Darcy! (Girl, you are a trooper coming out and chasing around my crazy boy after you giving birth only about 8 days before! Geesh you are dedicated to you business!! Thanks so much dear!) I'm so glad we figured out that taking him outside to do photo shoots are definitely in his element! Indoor photos just do not go well! So I'm so pleased with how they turned out!!

Enjoy! (Oh I apologize I cannot get them any bigger off of my email on picasa yet!)

Now onto the the big birthday!

We started off the morning by getting Isaac up early instead of our usual Saturday morning sleep-in (so he would go down for a nap for sure and be in a decent mood for the party.) So Brock took Isaac on a Walmart trip to get him his bday gift, then took him to Burger King to treat Isaac to some french toast sticks! He scarfed those puppies down!

Here is the birthday boy in his Cars pj's and a full mouth! ha ha!

The cake! We did a Cars theme this year, and it went over very well! I loved how the cake turned out, especially since we bought Isaac an official Cars set, then used them for the cake decoration...so that was cool:)

Gift table...

the "spread" We did Bruno's pizza and fruit/chocolate fountain, veggie pizza, cake and Chief ice cream! YUM!

The ever popular "Mack" truck we got him with his set. It was too huge to put onto the cake as planned, so we just gave it to him. That did not leave my son's hands the entire party! Not kidding!

Party guests....

Our immediate family came, the boys' amish sitter, and some close friends and their kids too! Great turn out of family and friends!

Here's cousin Lincoln & great Grandma Kropf...

...and Isaac's bud, the other Lincoln!

"Papaw" Maust(Brock's dad) & Isaac

Isaac's reaction to some of the new fun gifts he got! He loved this one with roller wheels down little wooden slides...cute old fashioned toy!

My cousin, Brandi holding onto Kahler, and Great Grandma Kropf with baby Kloie

Isaac needing Mack put back together...again! (this happened alot throughout the evening!)

more guests....

Isaac loved the cards from everybody! They were all cute and caught his attention a lot!

Had to get Kahler in the action! He kept chasing the purple balloon all over the place!

Kahler just loved all of the company! That boy was entertained all evening! Good thing he is a social bug! Him and cousin, Izzy were 2 peas in a pod together!

Cake Time! "Yeah I want to eat the frosting off of the cars" Yum:)

LOVin' the cupcake...well...mainly the frosting:)! & of course Mack truck still in his view the entire time!

Well into the sugar rush:) Goin' nuts over his new Dinoco car! The car was pretty awesome...it went on its own after you shake it! Every time it ran into Isaac he's just laugh and laugh..it was quite entertaining, especially watching Mike (Jess' hubby) play with him too:)

Welp...I think that's it! Thanks to all of you that made it to enjoy the party with us! Isaac had a great time celebrating turning 2!

***Honored***...

As we've had a lot going on recently, I haven't had an opportunity to post about this til today! A few nights ago Brock and I were invited to attend Goshen High School Academic Honors Awards Banquet. It was awesome! First of all, you couldn't beat that it was at the Essenhaus for a free meal!...and all of us that attended took up the entire family style section of the restaurant! It was a huge deal! 178 students grades 9-12 with achievements of getting an A- and better in all of their classes all semesters. Pretty amazing when you see all of these kids!
Why did Brock and I go? Well...my amazing husband/teacher/coach was chosen by one of his senior students as their Outstanding Educator. He was blown away and so incredibly honored! We didn't realize how big of a deal this was, as only the seniors get to have this priveledge to choose someone who has impacted their academic career.
So Nicole, one of the few females that takes Brock's technology course, is going to Purdue (woo hoo!) and majoring in Construction Management. Pretty awesome considering she was also involved in choir, orchestra, and about all of the plays at school. She was even in top honors in English...and yet...she still chose my husband over all of these other amazing educators she has had! Pretty awesome!
I sometimes forget, since I don't get to see my husband in "teacher mode" anymore, how amazing of a teacher he is...and how much he impacts his students daily. On top of that, he spends a ton of his time with even more kids when he coaches. Kids flock to him in times of need and guidance, and I am just in awe of how great that is for students to have a role model like him:)
I guess you could say I'm happy to claim him! Great job on your achievement babe!
In other news..
Sir Kahler is EVERYWHERE! I haven't had good opportunities to take pics of his busy body lately...but this is what he was doing about 3 weeks ago! You can imagine what he's doing now!
Climbing....

Standing...(he's standing for long periods of time at the tables with Isaac and plays...pretty funny to watch those two!)

I'm so glad he's learned to get down from a stand too..whew! but yeah...we're totally in for it!
He is one super speedy crawler these days. It's crazy! He's pretty funny though when he first sees me when I get off work...if that boy is on the floor...he is bookin' it to get to me! So cute!
He's still adorable, but the boy is gettin' himself in trouble LOTS these days:)

Stay tuned for Isaac's 2 year pics!

Watered down?

The picture below I think says a lot about me....today. If you ask me if this picture would have ever existed about 7 months ago...probably not. Actually I know it would never have existed. This picture of my husband and I was randomly taken last Sunday at church...without me having a clue!
I can tell ya right now, this Bible was given to me last Mother's day(almost a year ago), and I NEVER used it until last October...when we started attending Grace. The previous 2 churches we attended had me never wanting to dig into scripture like I am today. I do not step foot into our church now without my bible in tow. I've never been more encouraged to bring my bible to church with me every Sunday...so I know that says something!
(You're probably wondering why I'm writing this)...
Well...
Our pastor used this picture in his blog titled: "A fun little rant".
I strongly encourage you to read it @ www.thebrownbytes.blogspot.com
After considering the path my husband and I have taken in the past compared to who we are today, you may ask if we attend a "watered down" church....I will tell you:
I THINK NOT!
In all honesty, I used to be one of those people who thought negative things about Grace. Until you actually have been there, you have NO CLUE what you are talking about! Now it infuriates me to think what all is being said about this church that has done nothing but bring out the positives in my husband and I. We are not perfect and we know it--but we are better people for where we are today, and we can say we have a relationship with the Big JC:)
As we are discussing the End Times series, the Truth that Pastor Jim brings to us each Sunday is ANYTHING BUT watered down!!
Pastor Jim, we believe in Grace and you!
